We believe every person deserves to achieve their maximum potential and be the best they can be. That’s why, every month, our dedicated activities team plans a variety of person-centred enrichment activities, scheduled to keep our residents involved, engaged and social, whilst keeping them physically, mentally, and emotionally stimulated. We love to provide residents with plenty of opportunities to get involved, have fun and really become the best version of themselves. Activities are tailored around individual hobbies, as well as introducing new experiences such as learning new skills, making crafts or revisiting favourite pastimes. Cooking, baking, arts, and crafts are a great way to improve everyday skills and coordination as well as express your creativity. While gardening allows our residents to enjoy time outside in our beautiful garden, relax and connect with the outdoors.
To encourage social interaction, we can do activities in a group setting as well as one-to-one. Activities and events can take place within the centre or in the community. There’s always something to do around the home, including getting involved in the Breakfast Club, enjoying the new sensory room, get pampered at hairdressing, join the bridge club, play with our three dogs, have fun at our theme nights and plenty of lively parties at least once a month based on a theme of national or international celebrations. We are stocked up with a myriad of games, from traditional word games, puzzles, quizzes and board games to original games devised by our Activities Team to keep our residents entertained and active. We encourage each person's individuality, and so we provide tailored activities to each person's taste and needs.
Kings Lodge is proud of the activities we provide for our residents. You can see below some of the activities we've arranged and what's coming up in the future.
